Apply today for our RN Interventional Radiology opening and continue to learn! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The IR RN is an integral part of the Radiology Team. The major goal of the Radiology nurse is to provide exceptional quality nursing care to outpatients and inpatients in the radiology department. The Interventional Radiology RN provides nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols already developed for the healthcare organization. The tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: + Assesses plans and evaluates the nursing care needs of the patient before, during and after the invasive procedures. + Provides nursing care to the patient under going the invasive procedures. + Assists Radiologists during examinations and procedures. + Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. + Instructs and educates patients and families. + Provides age appropriate and culturally appropriate care. + Orients and mentors new staff members. + Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. + Follows hospital policies around administration of sedation meds in compliance with competencies and licensure. **What qualifications you will need:** + ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date + BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date + Clear and active SC or compact state nursing license + Associate Degree + Previous IR, ER, Critical Care or Imaging nursing experience is required.
