Job Description

Adelphi is seeking Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support the delivery of speech and language services for students in a school district located in Lancaster, South Carolina. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist, providing direct therapy and assisting with the implementation of students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences.
• Completion of an SLPA program approved by ASHA or the state licensing board.
• Active South Carolina SLPA License through LLR (if required).
• Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Implement treatment plans and IEP activities as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Collect and record student progress data accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with preparing therapy materials, documentation, and progress reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information in compliance with FERPA.
• Support continuity of care by delivering consistent services or ensuring smooth transition if reassigned.
