Aspirus Merrill Hospital in Merrill, WI is seeking a MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST to join our LAB team! This position will offer a wide-range of responsibilities and perfect for someone seeking a generalist-type role!

Position Overview:

Join our Laboratory team and help deliver high-quality diagnostic testing that supports exceptional patient care. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), you will perform complex chemical, bacteriological, serological, hematological, and microscopic procedures. This role requires critical thinking, technical accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a high-complexity CLIA-certified lab.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct diagnostic testing and interpret results across multiple disciplines
• Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with laboratory and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support timely patient diagnosis and care decisions
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning

Schedule: Full-time | 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period)
Shift: Night Shift | Monday-Thursday | 9:00 PM-7:00 AM

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field required
• Previous lab experience preferred but not required
• Must possess or obtain within 12 months of hire one of the following certifications:
• MT-ASCP , MLS-ASCP , or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (can be obtained upon hire)
• Must meet CLIA '88 requirements for high-complexity testing
• Annual competencies required per Aspirus and applicable regulations
