The BAE Systems Combat Mission Systems site in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a 1st Shift Maintenance Manager to support operations. This position will directly manage a team of up to 15 USW Bargaining Unit Employees of various trades including Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, and other operational support roles. This individual will prioritize, manage, and execute work orders, including PM s, with internal and external resources. This role will operate on a 9/80 working schedule with alternating Fridays off. Rotational weekend coverage may be required, as needed. As a Maintenance Manager, you will:
+ Manage union multi-craft bargaining unit personnel in the timely and effective preventive and corrective maintenance of heavy manufacturing machinery.
+ Work closely with Operations, Planning & Scheduling, Quality & Manufacturing Engineering to coordinate TPM related work and planned downtime for machine calibrations and preventive maintenance to ensure minimal impact to production.
+ Work with Operations and Engineering on Capital and Expensed Projects.
+ Coordinate outside vendors to contract expertise for machine calibrations and repair when needed on off shift operations.
+ Responsible for shift Maintenance Bargaining Unit craftsmen worktime management including timecard verification, vacation requests, disciplinary action, paygrade advancement, training, tools, vehicle usage, and work schedules.
+ Review employee work for quality, accuracy, and completeness. Close out work orders and maintain system data as needed.
+ Manage contractors to perform scheduled PM s across the York campus that are not performed internally. Including but not limited to: HVAC, Roofing, Fire Suppression, Plumbing Systems, Predictive Maintenance Vendors, and Elevator Inspections.
+ Champion continuous improvement projects to improve efficiencies and capabilities.
+ Coordinate and communicate effectively with 2 nd and 3 rd shift Managers. Update shift pass downs and critical equipment status as needed.
+ Responsible for individual and direct reports development plan.
+ Oversee all maintenance activities to ensure a safe work environment in compliance with regulatory and company policies.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ 5-10 years maintenance experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
+ 5-10 years experience leading people in a union maintenance environment.
+ Team player with a high sense of urgency and ownership.
+ Proficient in MS Office and ERP applications.
+ Be organized, effectively communicate, and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
+ Hands-on working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory safety guidelines.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Knowledge of Siemens, Allen Bradely, and like controls systems.
+ Experience in operating and/or maintaining high precision rotating machinery.
+ Degree or Certification in Maintenance or related.
+ Training in Total and Predictive Preventative Maintenance.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $90373 - $153634

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
