IHOP - Busser/Dishwasher Combo

Overview:

• Multitask performing a combination of dishwashing and table bussing duties with pride, excellence, and professionalism
• Knowledge of basic cleaning, sanitizing, disinfecting, and organization procedures required in a restaurant environment
• Good communication skills to interact with guests and team members
• Primary job duties in the back-of-house, ensuring food safety standards are met
• Team player with great time management skills, organizational skills, and a strong work ethic

Responsibilities:

• Help Servers to clear soiled dishes, clean, disinfect, and sanitize dining room tables and commonly touched areas
• Maintain cleanliness of entry area, dining room, restroom, and service area floors
• Keep restrooms clean and stocked with supplies
• Ensure cleanliness of building grounds, sidewalks, landscaping, parking lot, windows, glass, mirrors, and doors
• Remove trash from front of house and restroom bins, maintaining cleanliness of dumpster area
• Clean air vents, ceiling tiles, light fixtures, walls, major equipment, and assist with minor repairs
• Assist with unloading restaurant goods and stocking supply areas
• Perform dishwashing duties and maintain cleanliness of dish pit area

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform essential duties and work effectively with team members
• Compliance with IHOP uniform and appearance standards

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
• Excessive standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and stretching
• Regular exposure to wet/humid conditions, extreme cold/heat, fumes, airborne particles, and cleaning chemicals
• Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities
