Job Title: Tool Crib Technician

Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:

• The Tool Crib Technician is responsible for performing technical duties associated with SCMF Production tool crib.

Responsibilities:

• Polish Tooling using a lathe
• Mold various parts for Robot End of Arm tooling
• Operate 3D Printers
• Maintain tooling inventory for production manufacturing
• Use Work Order Travelers to stage tooling for production
• Maintain Production tools and equipment
• Dimensionally inspect diameters of parts
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnose assemblies for defects and repair
• Rebuild mechanical assemblies
• Ensure ability to: read blueprints and identify components
• Maintain critical spare inventory for production facility equipment, employee performs regular inventory counts
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Additional Responsibilities

• Operate surface grinder to resurface scarred tooling
• Operate hydraulic press for press fit assemblies

Experience and Skills

• No prior tool crib experience required
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are important

Training

• Training conducted on 1st shift before transitioning to 3rd shift
• NEST training completed in Houston area

Certifications

• TWIC card is helpful for faster ATF processing, but not a requirement
• Tool crib at client functions more like an inventory warehouse than a traditional tool checkout station
