Job Description

A family office is seeking a Tax Manager to join their dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Tax Director, you will be exposed to multi-asset investment portfolios, complex tax structures and strategies and innovative estate and personal income tax planning. Responsibilities

• Prepare/review tax workpapers and returns for various individuals, trusts, private equity and special purposes vehicles.
• Prepare quarterly individual and trust tax estimates and complete other internal tax projects and analysis as assigned.
• Preparation of Principal’s individual and related grantor trust tax projections
• Preparation of individual tax returns for family members of its Principal and senior employees.
• Review of schedule K-1s of its Founder’s and senior employees, which includes multi-state tax requirements; K-1s to be incorporated into their individual income tax returns prepared by external tax providers.
• Analyze trading portfolios for applicable tax adjustments

Qualifications

• Proficient with Excel
• Experience with tax software programs, preferably CCH ProSystem and Gosystems (preparing returns, qualifying for e-file)
• Proficient in partnership and trust accounting
• High level understanding of equity and tax allocations for partnerships
• Solid communication, interpersonal and project management skills
• A self-starter who must work well with others and have the ability to work and integrate with other departments to streamline flows of efficiency.
• Must be able to handle multiple time-sensitive projects and prioritize heavy workloads
