Responsibilities: - Own the end-to-end design process from prototype all the way through to development support.
- Work closely with product managers and engineers, understanding business and user requirements and rapidly iterating on wireframes and prototypes, ultimately translating them into pixel-perfect designs
- Be a strong advocate for the user and make informed design decisions by utilizing insights from qualitative and quantitative user research, usability testing, and other research methods.
- Take initiative to identify problems and act on opportunities to continuously improve the product values.
- Efficiently execute to ship products that deliver impact for our business and customers.
- Champion both design and process by presenting your work and effectively articulating design rationale to your core team and other stakeholders.
- Provide constructive critiques for other designers’ work, while embracing feedback on your own.
- Contribute as needed and maintain our Design System to ensure consistent design patterns and UI across our platforms, to speed up integration and launch for engineering.
- Build strong, inclusive, collaborative relationships with peers, including designers, product managers, engineers, and other teams/departments.
- Bring interactivity to the “design table” and the design system with interactive models to enrich the experience.
Qualifications: - Loves creating amazing digital experiences that are rooted in empathy and are apart of and promote a holistic brand vision
- Has a passion for bridging physical experiences with digital UI
- Is well versed in UX and UI design, understands how interactivity can be used to enhance the experience, and how to implement it.
- Has a deep understanding of design systems and building products in agile (design sprints), while bringing their technical knowledge to promote working smarter alongside developers
- Collaborates often and with ease, bringing a friendly and open personality to whatever the task or discussion without bringing ego to the table
- Utilizes design to not only meet the needs of our users but can understand and address the needs of business, and can solve for this
- Is comfortable moving quickly when things are in motion and performs well in a multidisciplinary setting
What you must have:
- 8+ years of product experience in the Product Design field
- A diploma or degree in design or related discipline (OR proven history of experience)
- Excellent visual design skills with a strong eye for detail
- Passion about the design process, from developing strong conceptual foundations to refining the smallest of details with quality
- A portfolio demonstrating your previous work in design thinking, process, UX, UI and visual design skills
- Comfort being the primary designer on product design projects from end to end
- Been a part of a team that has shipped software that solves real user’s problems and achieves measurable business outcomes
- Expert knowledge of Figma within design systems, interaction and delivery
- Be well-versed on patterns for responsive web, iOS and Android, and native design patterns.
