Onset Financial of Draper, UT , is seeking to hire a dedicated, vigilant, and professionally minded Security Guard to join our team. Your Responsibilities will be:

• Make scheduled rounds both inside and outside the buildings to maintain a secure environment for employees, their property, as well as company property.
• Ensure safe passage, prevent unauthorized access, and provide a visible and authoritative presence.
• Conduct inspections of all incoming packages to prevent potential security risks.
• Monitor the premises to identify and respond promptly to any security threats or emergencies.
• Reporting and requesting police, paramedics, or fire departments in case of emergency.
• Create detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of all security-related activities.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Maintain a working knowledge of any life safety systems, fire panels, security cameras, and other such equipment.
• Collaborate with other security team members and supervising departments.
• Bolster our culture of trust, safety, dependability, and integrity.

What you need to succeed:

• Prior experience as a security guard or relevant law enforcement training/certifications is preferred.
• Diligent observation and surveillance skills to identify potential security threats or suspicious activities.
• Strong situational awareness and the ability to assess security risks and respond swiftly and calmly in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with employees, visitors, and law enforcement personnel.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Knowledge of public safety, security protocols, and best practices to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Integrity and honesty in handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Familiarity with security equipment, such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarms is preferred.
• Customer service-oriented attitude with the ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required
• Any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.

Schedule:

Applicants should be prepared to work swing shifts from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday.

You will be provided with a professional uniform that meets industry standards and promotes a sense of authority and presence. In addition to the uniform, you will also be equipped with essential security tools.
