Registered Dietitian

Location: Watertown, NY

Setting: Medical center

Schedule: Day shift, Full-time (40 hours) rotating weekend coverage

Compensation: $28 - $37 per hour + $2,500 SOB

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to oversee and support the nutritional well-being of patients and residents. The Dietitian will collaborate closely with medical staff and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans that promote optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and identify individuals at risk for malnutrition.
• Perform Nutrition Focused Physical Exams (NFPE) to determine the degree of malnutrition.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized diet plans.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, residents, families, and staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics (required).
• Registered Dietitian or Registration Eligible (required).
• Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist credential in New York State (preferred).
• Minimum of one year of experience in acute care or long-term care (preferred).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with clinical and administrative software (e.g., PointClickCare, Meditech, Microsoft Office Suite).
• Demonstrated commitment to excellent patient care and customer service.
