### About the Role:
Are you an experienced purchasing professional looking for a dynamic leadership opportunity? A well-established automotive manufacturer in the Vernon Hills area is seeking a Purchasing Manager to drive cost efficiency, supplier optimization, and global sourcing strategies. This hybrid role (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) offers the chance to lead a dedicated procurement team and make a significant impact on the company's sourcing and supply chain operations.

### What You'll Do:
✅ Oversee direct and indirect purchasing of automotive components, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
✅ Develop and maintain strong relationships with both local and international suppliers.
✅ Lead contract negotiations, manage vendor agreements, and drive pricing strategies.
✅ Guide and mentor a small procurement team, fostering professional development and accountability.
✅ Work closely with engineering and production teams to align sourcing strategies with manufacturing objectives.

### What We're Looking For:
✔️ 5+ years of procurement experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
✔️ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (CPM/CPIM certification is a plus).
✔️ Proven success in cost reduction, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
✔️ Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
✔️ Strong communication, leadership, and strategic problem-solving skills.
