Department: Procurement Specialist

NIKA is hiring for a Procurement Specialist to support the Base Operations (BOS) Contract at Wright – Patterson AFB, Ohio.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Will assist shop foreman and be responsible for the resolution of problems with contract personnel, service work, scheduling issues and work with the COR(s) to schedule workload, procurement of materials and/or required subcontractor services.
Works with the lead technician and all other disciplines for the procurement of all maintenance, repair/replace, and operations material/equipment/services necessary to fulfill the requirements of this contract.
Primary user on the government procurement application.
Manages the procurement process and ensures timely and accurate data entry on government provided application.
Identifies and procures all material/equipment/services with the consultation of pertinent technicians, government, and company
policies.
Manage all purchase orders from appropriately selected sources and obtain all necessary quotations and required approvals.
Ensure receipt of all material/services and coordinates government validation.
Answers phone calls at the Lab shop/office and answers questions, directs questions to the appropriate personnel, and/or takes messages as necessary.
Provides Work Request and materials orders status using information available in government and/or contractor systems.
Ensure timely and accurate data entry into government systems.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2-year experience in purchasing commercial/industrial maintenance and repair equipment.
Proficient in computer data entry and Microsoft Outlook.
