Our client is seeking a Dealership Parts Manager to oversee the entire parts department at their dealership. This role involves managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the timely supply of parts to service technicians while maintaining profitability.
Responsibilities
Department Operations: Manage and maintain proper parts inventory levels, oversee ordering and stocking, and negotiate with vendors.
Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise parts counter and warehouse staff. You will be responsible for setting goals, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering teamwork.
Customer & Sales Focus: Ensure professional service for both internal and external customers. You'll also handle customer issues and drive retail and wholesale parts sales growth.
Financial Management: Develop and manage the department's budget and track key performance indicators (KPIs) like gross profit margin and parts inventory turn rates
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Parts Manager, Assistant Parts Manager, or Senior Parts Counterperson in an automotive dealership.
Strong knowledge of parts operations, inventory management, and vendor relations.
Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts catalog systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds, Dealertrack).
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.
