Job Title: Medical Billing Coordinator

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Medical Billing Coordinator to join our client to support revenue accuracy and streamline insurance reimbursement processes. This contract-to-hire position, based in the Morrisville, PA area, is responsible for managing claim follow-ups, resolving denials, and ensuring compliance with payer requirements. The role plays a key part in improving cash collections by leveraging billing expertise, collaborating across teams, and maintaining thorough documentation. This is a great opportunity to move into a long-term role while strengthening knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance policies.

Compensation:
$20 – $22/hour

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities of the Medical Billing Coordinator:
• Oversee aged accounts receivable by tracking claims, following up with payers, and driving resolution of outstanding balances.
• Research and analyze denial patterns, prepare strong appeal letters, and initiate corrective action to reduce future rejections.
• Interpret and apply Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance regulations while ensuring adherence to payer-specific policies.
• Utilize billing knowledge, including HCPCS codes, modifiers, and medical terminology, to address errors and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, complete reporting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet cash collection goals.

Qualifications and Skills for the Medical Billing Coordinator:
• Previous experience in medical billing or accounts receivable, ideally in a high-volume healthcare environment.
• Solid understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance guidelines, including claim adjudication processes.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft persuasive appeals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting, tracking, and analyzing billing data.
• Detail-oriented problem solver with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HCPCS codes, and claim modifiers is highly beneficial.
