Job Title: Interventional Radiology Nurse (Per Diem)

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Per Diem Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse to join our dynamic IR team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care throughout the full procedural workflow, including patient intake, pre-procedure evaluation, moderate sedation administration, and post-procedure recovery. This role is perfect for a nurse who thrives in a procedural setting and enjoys working closely with physicians and technologists to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform patient intake, including assessment, history review, vital signs, and IV access.
• Conduct thorough pre-procedure evaluations and ensure informed consents are completed.
• Provide moderate sedation during image-guided procedures, following safety and monitoring protocols.
• Monitor patients intra-procedure and respond to changes in clinical status.
• Manage post-procedure recovery, including pain control, hemodynamic monitoring, and discharge criteria.
• Educate patients and families regarding post-procedure care and follow-up.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and support staff to ensure smooth workflow and high safety standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Adhere to department policies, sedation guidelines, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology, Critical Care, PACU, or Emergency Medicine preferred.
• Proficiency in moderate sedation administration and monitoring.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced procedural environment.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Per diem / flexible shifts based on department needs.
• Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.
