HOG SCALE OPERATOR

 Responsibilities: 

• Monitor head counts, weights, tattoo numbers and other information required by Senior Alley Buyer, government inspectors, and other plant personnel
• Answer phone located at the scale and be able to answer questions on loads, producer, and / or truckers questions
• Communicate with truckers by answering questions and getting information to check the load in
• Use the computer full time to verify load numbers in our CPS computer system
• Work with yard personnel on confirming pen counts, draft counts, and tattoo numbers
• Multitasking by checking drivers in and verifying schedule and scaling
• Fast paced environment where attention to detail is required
• Other duties as assigned  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Attention to details
• Computer knowledge
• Able to communicate verbally and in written form in English
• Bilingual preferred

• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
