Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer (Travel) Location: Sacramento, CA Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5×8 Days Pay: $2,682/week Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts) Position Overview ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment in Sacramento, California. The technologist will perform a full spectrum of diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures with a high level of clinical competence, including advanced adult, congenital, and structural heart exams. This role involves floating between multiple cardiac labs across the region, including Sacramento, Davis, Fairfield, and Roseville. Some weekend and evening shifts are required. No on-call responsibilities. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) to evaluate cardiac structures, function, and hemodynamics.
• Conduct transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), including intraoperative TEE and 3D imaging.
• Support structural heart procedures within the cardiac catheterization lab (e.g., TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman guidance).
• Perform high-level congenital and complex pediatric echocardiography as needed.
• Assist in intraoperative cardiac imaging during surgical and interventional procedures.
• Correlate clinical history and diagnostic findings to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging.
• Maintain equipment, follow ultrasound physics and imaging standards, and adhere to safety regulations.
• Educate patients and collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary cardiac teams.
• Float between assigned cardiac labs based on departmental needs.
• Maintain documentation and reporting per facility protocols (Epic preferred).

Qualifications

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or equivalent credential (required).
• BLS certification (required).
• Minimum 2 years of recent echocardiography experience (required).
• Strong proficiency with TEEs, intraoperative studies, congenital echo, and structural heart imaging (preferred).
• Must be able to float between Sacramento, Davis, Fairfield, and Roseville labs.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Must meet the 50-mile travel requirement (locals accepted at lower rate).
• Only 1 holiday RTO permitted; must be submitted with profile.
• Must complete lab work within 3–5 days of signing the contract.
• Must submit Sutter Cover Sheet and two professional references (last 12 months).
• Background hits must be disclosed prior to submission.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
