Job Title: Director of Operations (with F&B background) – Luxury 5-Star Hotel
Location: Texas
Reports to: General Manager
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary: $150K - $170K + Bonus and Relocation Assistance

Position Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Food and Beverage to lead the Food & Beverage and Rooms division at our prestigious 5-star property. This executive role is responsible for the strategic direction and operational excellence of all food and beverage outlets, including fine dining restaurants, in-room dining, banquet and catering services, lounges, and bars.

The ideal candidate will have a steadfast commitment to quality and a proven history of achieving and exceeding FORBES 5-Star service and facility standards. This role is pivotal in enhancing the guest experience, driving revenue, managing costs, and inspiring a team of dedicated hospitality professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational & Service Excellence:

  • Oversee all aspects of the Food & Beverage division to ensure the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Implement and maintain FORBES 5-Star standards across all F&B touchpoints.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute innovative strategies to elevate the guest experience, increase market share, and drive profitability.
  • Curate unique and memorable dining experiences that align with the luxury brand identity.

Financial Management:

  • Assume full P&L responsibility for the Food & Beverage division.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Implement cost-control measures for labor, inventory, and operating expenses without compromising quality or guest satisfaction.

Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and empower a diverse team, including outlet managers, chefs, and service staff.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management to build a best-in-class F&B operation.

Quality Assurance:

  • Regularly inspect all F&B outlets to ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain impeccable standards for food presentation, beverage quality, and service execution.

Vendor & Inventory Management:

  • Oversee purchasing, receiving, and inventory control for all food, beverage, and departmental supplies.
  • Build strong relationships with premium suppliers to ensure access to the highest quality products.

Guest Relations:

  • Act as a key ambassador for the hotel's F&B program.
  • Engage with guests to gather feedback and address service concerns with diplomacy and efficiency, ensuring ultimate guest satisfaction.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5-7+ years of progressive leadership experience in Food & Beverage management within a 5-star, luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Proven expertise in achieving and maintaining FORBES 5-Star rating standards.
  • Extensive experience managing multi-outlet, high-volume F&B operations, including fine dining, banquets, and lounge concepts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, and cost management.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a large team.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for gastronomy and in-depth knowledge of current food and wine trends.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of a premier luxury hotel.
