Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assembler IV-1st Shift at our El Paso, TX location! The hours for this shift are 7:00 am - 3:45 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $20.47 per hour. Perform assembly or wiring required for test preparation and final inspection. Perform all assignments within the acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping with assigned functions. **In this function, you will:** - Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, and wiring schematics. - Use various tools, such as wire strippers, crimpers, wire cutters, impact guns, drills, and pliers to assemble switchboards' electrical wiring. - Handle materials following established procedures. - Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages. - Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar. - Lift 35 lbs. with reasonable accommodation as required. - Perform other functions and/or tasks as assigned - Flexing into other functions of the business - Ability to be a team player and work independently with a sense of urgency **Qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications** - No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. - Must meet **ONE** of the following qualifications: + 1 year of electrical wiring experience **OR** + A completed technical degree in a related field **OR** + Connectors I & II certifications **AND** 1 year of experience as an Assembler III **Preferred Qualifications:** - 2+ years of wiring experience - 2+ years of assembly experience - Demonstrated knowledge of wiring assembly **Position Success Criteria:** - Self-driven and able to produce desired results with minimal direction. - Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within a team environment. - Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs. - Proficient with computer operation and programs including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint. - Must work somewhat independently and make decisions that affect the workgroup. Focus efforts on attaining assigned goals and objectives, which include meeting the needs and expectations of internal and external customers. - You will contribute to a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties.
