Job Description



Essential Functions

  • Monitor payments-related policy developments, globally and identify emerging policy trends.
  • Work other internal functions including, but not limited to, regional Government Affairs (GA) teams, Regulatory Affairs/ Legal, Corporate Strategy, Country and Regional Management, Risk and Corporate Communications
  • Support the development of briefing books, policy summaries, and reports, and help prepare senior executives for external engagements
  • Oversee shared team resources, spreadsheets and reporting requirements to ensure Visa’s internal requirements and processes are met 
  • Develop and implement processes for sharing information with Government Affairs and across other Visa teams
  • Organize and manage internal and external meetings, including agenda development and successful execution of follow-up tasks

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

- Experience working on policy issues in governments, international organizations and private sector preferred.

- Outstanding written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills (writing samples may be requested).

- Advanced experience with PowerPoint and Excel, with ability to quickly and easily develop presentation material and pivot tables to support policy analysis

- Employs sound judgment regarding sensitive information.

- Proven track record to manage priorities effectively and efficiently in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

- Ability to multi-task and independently manage and prioritize work, while meeting key deadlines.

- Excellent collaborator with strong interpersonal communication skills

- Highly organized and results driven with a focus on quality execution and outcomes

- General knowledge of regulatory issues of relevance to public financial services or payments companies a plus

- Outstanding inter-personal, presentation, and communications skills.

- Ability to work across multiple time zones, countries, and cultures.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 117,600.00 to 166,150.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
