Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk. This is a full-time position that will be responsible for performing various accounting and administrative tasks to support our finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including invoices, receipts, and bank statements
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
- Prepare and submit tax forms and other financial documents
- Conduct data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Provide support for payroll processing
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, answering phone calls, and responding to emails
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a real estate or property management company
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of tax regulations and payroll processing is a plus
